Please check our “Home Page” Current Announcements for any last minute messages regarding change of schedule or weather related issues.

Waiver, Please print waiver and return to your coach or team general manager before the tournament. Extra copies will NOT be available day of the event. Failure to submit waiver & roster with valid U.S. Lacrosse membership number nullifies tournament insurance.

Rules of play:

    • Fall Brawl  is a 10 v 10 format.

    • Games consist of 2 twenty minute running time half’s with a two minute halftime.

    • Teams have three minutes to take the field and start the next game.

    • Please arrive at your next field of play 10 minutes before game time. Clock will start whether or not teams are ready to play.

    • A horn will sound to start the game, signify half time, start the second half and end the game.

    • Penalties will be time served.

    • There is one 30 second timeout per half, please keep in mind the clock does not stop.

    • There are NO timeouts in the last 2 minutes of the second half.

    • Substitutions are after a penalty, ball out of bounds or on the fly.

    • All penalties will be time served. Referee’s will keep the penalty time on the field.

    • Winning team must keep the ball in the box during the last two minutes of the game.

    • 2nd through 6th grade there are no one handed checks, no failure to advance & no stall warnings.

    • 3 Long poles are allowed on the field for 3rd & 4th grade.

    • 4 Long poles are allowed for 5th grade and up.

    • 2nd Through 6th grade runs New York State modified rules.

    • 7th & 8th High School rules apply.

    • There will be no face off if one team has a 5 goal lead. Ball will be awarded to the other team.

    • The team with a 5 goal lead will have to complete 3 passes before advancing to the cage. 2 of the passes must be in the box.

    • Certified trainers or EMT’s will be present at each location. If a player or spectator needs assistance please go to the Harding Sports Management registration tent in each location.

    • Games are played rain or shine.

Weather Policy

In the event of adverse weather or unplayable field conditions Harding Sports Management reserves the right to:

  • Reduce game times in order to catch up with schedule.

  • Finish game before inclement weather arrives, or to preserve field conditions.

  • Reschedule games, if possible.

  • Convert tournament to a ‘Festival’ format without playoffs or championships to provide the majority of the teams the opportunity to play as many games as possible.

 If thunder or lightning is observed at any location play will be suspended immediately and players and fans will be required to leave the field.  Play will be allowed to resume 30 minutes after the last sound of thunder or sighting of lightning is observed.  If a game is in progress, the period will end immediately.  If it is the second half, the game will be considered final and the score at that point will be recorded.  If it is the first half, when play resumes it will be the start of the second half.  Every attempt will be made to begin subsequent games on time.  Subsequent games will begin immediately after preceding games (teams will warm up on the sideline prior to the game).  These games will consist of one 35 minute running time period until games are back on schedule.  Teams will have one 30 second timeout per game (during which time the clock will not stop) not to be used in the last two minutes.

  • Once games are back on schedule they will revert to two 20 minute running time periods.

 All games canceled due to weather will be considered a Tie for both teams.

Weather Refund Policy

  1. No refunds will be issued for games canceled for reasons other than weather (forfeits, no shows, etc.).

  2. No refunds will be issued for games shortened due to weather.

  3. If one game is canceled due to weather, there will be no refund.

  4. If a second game is canceled due to weather, the team will receive a $150.00 refund.

  5. If all three games are canceled due to weather, the team will receive a $200.00 refund.

  6. No refunds will be issued for playoff or championship games canceled due to weather.

  7. Since teams are not always registered and paid for by the same contact teams will be required to complete a Weather Refund Request Form. This will indicate the team requesting the refund, to whom the check should be made payable and where the check should be mailed.   No refunds will be issued if a Weather Refund Request Form is not submitted within 30 days of the tournament.
